On this chart they put the writing that says “Scallop” on it a line lower than the other two. I could have changed it, but I wasn’t sure if they actually did that because I had the other two at home and I was at Joe ’s and wanted to finish it.

The problem with this kit was that three of the colors used weren’t even listed on the chart! The symbols were used on the chart, but they didn’t tell what color you used for them.

This whole series of kits was not well put together. First off, there was no easy way to differentiate between the colors when sorting the thread. Usually they have easy to match names like “light pink, dark pink, pink” or tell how many strands of each were included. This kit had names like “opal mist, camomile, flamingo, etc.”. Some were easy to figure out, like flamingo. But I had to redo half the star fish because I assumed opal mist was a whitish color, not a pink one. Opals are usually basically white, not pink.

The stitching on this took me about 3 or 4 hours. It took me about an hour then to finish it. This was one of the very few things I’ve stitched as soon as I bought it.

This project involved more than just cross-stitch. You had to trace and cut out the star, cut the cardboard and felt to size, and glue it all together. It was a very fast project but very fun.

This was part of a kit where you sponge-painted a box and then attached a ribbon and the cross-stitch.
